The last weeks had been almost as unreal as it got when the young man was able to think about it. First he had saved Hope, their bartender in an alley and the next thing he knew she was in his bed. The following day he had woke up to her sneaking out of his apartment which irriated him for some damned reason and for the last couple of days he had avioded even speaking to her. Two nights ago Amber, a woman that he had met on the street came to the club and he had ended up leaving with her and spending the night in her apartment. In a normal males position they would have thought he was living the 'life', whatever in the hell that meant. But, Cross was by far no normal human being, and taking the risk by letting people get close to him like that wasn't exactly the greatest idea he had ever had.
Leaning against the far wall next to the dance floor, he lifted the cigarette to his lips and took a long drag from the filtered end. Holding the thick grey smoke deep within his lungs for a few seconds, he exhaled as his eyes looked around the building. Random thoughts of the women and men alike within the building seemed to flood his mind. Some guy was hoping to get the woman he was dancing drunk enough to let him take her home. Chuckling to himself, Cross shook his head as he listened to the mans thoughts. It was amusing how men tried their hardest to seduce women, and yet he had no problem with that. Most of the time they tried to seduce him. Crossing his bare musclar arms over his chest, he lifted the cigarette to his lips again. As usual he was wearing a black, cut off t-shirt, lightly faded jeans, and black and blue Nike basketball sneakers.

The night was sort of slow for some reason so she asked James if he could manage the bar while she went out for a quick smoke break. Once she smiled and flirted a bit with him he agreed and she walked away from the bar. Her pants were just like the ones she wore all the time leather and skin tight. Her shirt was smaller then the usual wife beaters she wore. Baring her mid drift in a peek a boo manner. Maybe it was a smaller shirt or maybe her pants were just lower on her hips then usual.
Either way she stepped away cigarette between her lips and lighter in her hand flame exposed as her cheeks caved in and she took the first drag of the cigarette. Her eyes scanned the club and saw cross immediately. She didn’t know what to say she thought he might have been pissed at her for trying to sneak out. She didn’t know. She blinked and looked at him debating if she wanted to take a walk over there or not. It wasn’t a far walk a few feet away but still she should say something even if they have been sort of avoiding one another.
She looked at him and smiled slightly and said “hey..” softly arching a brow as she walked beside him and leaned against the wall.

Cross knew that Hope was looking towards him without evening having to turn his body so that he could see her. Of all the people in the club, her thoughts seemed to haunt him everywhere he went like she had built a mental bond with him and his unhuman ability to read the surface thoughts of normal humans. Taking another long drag from his cigarette as his emerld green, glowing eyes scanned the dance floor for a reason to walk away before Hope made it over to him. Sighing to himself, the young man figured there was no point in trying to aviod her any longer. The night they had spent together was great other then for a few situations but over all he had a good time and was sure she had enjoyed herself, there was no reason to regret anything the two of them had done together, ot to one another.
Hearing her voice from infront of him, his gaze slowly shifted onto her. Nodding respectfully to the beautiful brunette, his eyes seemed to trail across her body before they looked into her eyes. "Hey.... You look good." He told her quietly, as he blew the smoke from within his lung out toward the dance floor. Looking around the dancefloor, he didn't say another word as he waitted to see why she had come over to him.

Other then “you too” Hope didn’t know what to say really she thought ’He’s probably still mad at me for trying to sneak out .not like I wanted to sneak out, okay I wanted to sneak out but I didn’t want him to catch me I thought he wanted me to be gone, or maybe he didn’t like what had happened, maybe I’m just too weird for him, I thought he had a good time I know I had a good time..’ her mind raced with random logic form that night and day . Her thoughts feelings and emotions flooded her mind along with some visual images she remembered of the two of them. Shifting her body against the wall she cleared her throat easily and tried to clear her mind. Not before her own mind ran ramped with visuals of her attacking him , like now. In the club lips meeting his fingers curling in his hair… she shook her head and looked at him with a smile.
“so…. About… yeah..” she started and her heart raced she didn’t know what to say. ‘sorry that I left like it did I mean, I think, well, yeah,” she nodded and sighed before turning to him and saying “look cross..” she took a long drag from her cigarette and moved closer to him so she could speak lower and he could hear her. “why have you been avoiding me, I mean was it that bad? Was I supposed to leave right after and not go to sleep?” she shook her head and blew the smoke out towards the dance floor. Her brown eyes staying locked on his face.

The young mans emerald green eyes didn't even seemed to acknoledge that Hope was standing right there infront of him as she spoke again. Sighing to himself before taking another drag from his cigarette, his mind was suddenly flooded with her thoughts, doubts, and images of their bodies tangled together during the night that she had spent at his apartment. Cross wouldn't even forget that night, he had enjoyed himself and had thought that she did aswell but waking up in the morning with her trying to sneak out just made him realize that a normal relationship with a woman was out of the question. He didn't think she was weird, but he was pretty sure that her sexual appetite was different then other women he had been with, that was for sure. Exhaling the smoke within his lungs he almost choked as he seen what Hope actually thought about doing to him righ then and there.
Almost tempted to grab ahold of her and lead her to the break room and bend her over one of the tables he tried his best to keep his composure and act as if she wasn't even standing there. When Hope started to speak he finally acknoledged her standing there infront of him. Studing her face, and expression as she tried to explain he kept silent. Sighing as she apolizied he slowly shook his head before saying a word. "There's no point in apologizing to me... You do as you feel best, and thats what you did." He told her in a smooth tone before letting his gaze scan across the dance floor once again. Smiling as she questioned about him avioding her, he shook his head. "Why wouldn't I avoid a woman that trys to avoid waking up next to me in the morning?"

Hope took another drag of the cig and stared at him. His tone was dull and almost emotionless. But she could just tell that he was mad about it. Or she just felt it. Shaking her head before she blew out the smoke she stepped closer to him and sighed easily. Standing beside him she said. “Its not like that Cross, I-” she sighed again and took another drag of the cig. “I guess im not used to sticking around, and truthfully I didn’t think you wanted me to..” she shrugged easily and blew out the smoke again.
Her browneyes scanning him over before she licked her lips and smile shaking her head again. “she reached out and touched his arm gently saying with a wide grin. “don’t be like that cross…” she said and stepped in front of him so she was blocking his view of the dance floor playfully. “would you have wanted meto stay?” she asked tilting her head easily.

Cross noticed as Hope stepped closer toward him, he didn't move or react to it at all though. He just stood there, silently smoking his cigarette with his arms across his chest. Hearing her first comment, he turned his head to face her as his eyes narrowed. "Its not like that? Then why don't you explain it to me?" He said in a cold tone before turning his head so that he was now looking away from her again. The young man didn't know why he even cared, and if she had stayed she might have seen the bloodpacks in his freezer. Now that would have been something to explain. Yet, she intrested him emensly and the night they had spent together had been one of the greatest moments of his life. "Maybe it was better that you left." He finally admitted before taking another drag of his cigarette.
His heart almost stopped as she reached out and touched his arm, the feeling of her soft touch upon his skin again sent chills up his spine. "Don't be like what?" he asked quietly. When she stepped infront of him he tried to look away, but for some odd reason he couldn't bring himself to take his eyes off of her. Reaching up and touching the side of her face, he pushed back a few strands of her dark hair behind her ear. Giving her a small smile he lightly shrugged his shoulders before he answered. "Maybe." He answered her question before removing his hand away from her face.

She wanted to close her eyes. Wanted to close her eyes when he touched her. She almost sighed but settled for a bit of smoke being blown out to the side. Arching a brow she smiled a bit and asked. “maybe? A minute ago you were all mad and said maybe it was better that I go.. Now it’s a maybe” she teased and poked his chest playfully. She didn’t poke him hard. She felt the hardened muscle beneath her finger tip and it sent a small chill down her spine before it was consumed by heat. She licked her lips and took one last drag form her cig before smiling and saying. “ ya know what Cross… you are kinda like me… “ she said softly.
She stepped a bit closer to him and smirked leaning in she whispered softly. “You seem like you have something to hide, but then again maybe its because of that that I fing you so attractive” she said softly and licked his ear quickly in the moment it ook her to say that. Pulling away she smiled and looked over her shoulder towards the bar. She smiled as she saw poor James making a damn mess and people lining up around the bar top waiting for drinks.
Dropping her cigarette in one of the ashtrays on a nearby table she smirked to Cross and shrugged before saying softly “Well talk more later yeah?” she asked arching a brow easily. Still standing in front of him tilting her head as she spoke. Waiting for his response, she licked her lips easily and smirked.

"Well a minute ago I hadn't decided." he spoke ina seductive manner now before taking another drag his his bright green orbs stayed locked with hers. Feeling her finger poke into his chest seemed to make him laugh. Cross liked Hope, and everything about her but when he heard her comment about being like her he slowly shook his head. "I don't think you'd act like you do around me now if you really knew." He told her truthfully as he leaned against the wall next to him.
When she leaned closer to him and started to whisper into his ear, the hairs on the back of his neck stood up in excitement. Then as she finished speaking he felt the tip of her warm, moist tongue run across his ear. Squeezing his eyelids shut he took in a deep breath to gather his composure. Cross finally opened his eyes as she pulled away, watching as she looked over to her station and then back to him he couldn't help but smile. Staying silent as she asked if they'd talk later, he reached out and gently grabbed her wrist. Pulling her directly up against the front of his body with a quick movement. "How about you and I leave right now?" He whispered as he softly rested his forehead up against hers. "There's something I want to show you."

Her body tensed up and she gasped abruptly as she was grabbed. It was a gentle yet forceful movement. Her hands came up almost immediately pressing against his chest easily almost defensively. It was a force of habit really. Jail will do that to you. His head pressed against hers and her body relaxed against him. Her stature less defensive and more accepting.
She seemed to hold her breath for a moment when he touched her pulled her close and spoke so abruptly. Her words catching in her throat and her heart pounding throbbing in her ears. Her lower body tightening with the sudden rush of excitement that ran through her.
“I- Cross I’ll get fired…” she said softly her eyes meeting his staring and moving to watched the green hues. She licked her lips and sighed softly. You could tell by the look in her eyes that she was indeed serious about not wanting to get fired but you could also tell that she wanted to just go. Just to pick up and leave with him. She licked her lips again and kissed him abruptly. Why. Why did she do that. She didn’t even know but it seemed like the only thing to do at the moment or well the only thing she could do that didn’t involve any kind of ripping scratching or penetration.

Standing there with Hope's body pressed against the front of his, he starred down in her eyes as he waitted on an answer. The two of them had already had sex, and there was only one of two options that could happen. They either leave each other alone, or he tell her the truth and show her what he really was. Cross hadn't thought of how she would react if he showed her his true nature but he knew that if she wanted to actually feel anything for him that she'd have to know the animal aswell as the man that stood infront of her. Hearing her responce, he tilted his head before shifting his gaze over to James who was running the bar like a kindergradener. Chuckling to himself, he shook his head. Turning back toward Hope, before he could say anything she leaned up and pressed her soft lips against his own. Kissing her back passionately his arms wrapped around the small of her back.
Once the two of them pulled away from one another he studied her face. Something inside him knew that she was going to fall in love with him, but he couldn't let her see just the man he was, she had to know the truth. "You won't get fired.... Trust me." He told her quietly, before stepping away and taking ahold of her hand. Gently pulling her so that she'd follow he lead the way to a door which read 'Staff Only' unlocking the door and slipping inside he made sure it closed before continuing down a long hall and into the break room. Half tempted to put her up on a table and have his way with her, he pushed the thoughts out of his mind as he walked over to a bookshelf. Pulling back one of the books he revealed an electronic locking device. Typing in a ten digit code, the book shelf moved itself and revealed a stairwell leading up to his apartment.
Once the two of them were in the stairwell, he pushed another button inside the dark hall and the book shelf went back to where it was. Intertwining his long fingers with her small ones, he lead the way up the steps and to his living room. "Now I'm gonna show you somethings that you are going to believe impossible, but I don't want you to fear any of it." He said in a serious tone of voice before releasing her hand and nodding toward the couch. When she finally sat down, he paced back and forth infront of her as he seemed deep in thought. "I want you to think of an address. Any place that you've ever been, that I wouldn't know about... The street, house number, town, zip code.... All of it..."

She had been working there for a while now and never actually went into the door that said staff only. Never had the need to really until tonight. She was reluctant to follow but did when he tugged her arm gently pulling her along. Looking back at James he was entertain into say the least. Everyone was happy even though they waited for their drinks. He hadn’t seen her leave and she was sort of glad he hadn’t. She was still skeptical about what was going on here and well about why cross was sure she wouldn’t get fired.
He pulled her down the hallway and she held onto his hand following willingly. Brow arched the entire time. The look of shock swept over her face when she watched him pull the book. Seeing the case move and some secret doorway revealed. She was confused and shocked. Was cross in the CIA or something. Was this one of those I can tell you but ill have to kill you later deals. Oh god…
Her heart pounded in her chest and she was very confused and even more shocked when she found herself in his living room. She looked around and shook her head before he sat her down. She hadn’t really had the chance to say anything before she watched him pacing in front of her. She licked her lips and blinked her eyes so confused as to what was going on. Think of an address he said. All the address. “What’s this got to do with anything and why is your apartment so well secret?” she asked but his look said he was serious about her thinking about something.
‘p Sherman 42 wallaby way Sydney Australia’ she thought in her mind her eyes meeting his and she smiled yeah he’d never peg her for a finding Nemo fan. No way he could guess this. She thought watching him and shaking her head skeptical still as to this whole ordeal.
